Cowans Law was established in 1990 and is situated within 1,500 acres of forestry.

The fishery was formed in 1999 and is now the premier fishery in Ayrshire.

Cowans Law shooting school is run and managed with passion and dedication by Jay Steel.

Jay has been involved in Clay Shooting since 1982, she represented Scotland and was a team member in 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95. Jay was the first lady in Britain to shoot the ultimate score of 100/300 at Bywell Shooting Ground in Northumberland, hitting 100 first Barrel targets.
